Paris, 26 April 2018 – For the very first time, Ben Schwerin, VP of Partnerships at Snap Inc., and Neil Jacobson, President of Geffen Records, will discuss music through the lens of Snapchat in an exclusive shared keynote at Midem 2018.
Home of the global music community, Midem takes place in Cannes, France, from 5-8 June. This shared keynote, part of the Midem Conference Programme, is scheduled for Wednesday 6 June.
Marketing new music in today’s landscape is ever-changing. Labels and artists now utilise a combination of platforms to launch campaigns, but are increasingly turning to Snapchat for global partnerships to engage with and reach new fans.
Together, Schwerin and Jacobson will speak about Snapchat’s unique approach to working with artists and labels from both perspectives, and share why Snapchat’s music experience drives global discovery and conversation unlike any other platform.

Schwerin has been VP of Partnerships at Snap Inc., Snapchat’s parent company, since 2015, and is responsible for the group’s global strategic partnerships in sports, music, entertainment, and politics.
After beginning his career in the music business at Interscope Records, where he worked with superstar artists including the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, and The Pussycat Dolls, Jacobson was appointed President of Geffen Records in spring 2017 to oversee the historic label via new signings, as well as reinvigoration of the label’s legendary catalogue. The current roster includes DJ Snake, AlunaGeorge, Lil Jon, Mura Masa, Gryffin, Bipolar Sunshine, and upcoming acts Yungblud and B00ty.
