Troy Carter learned the business in the ‘90s, inside legendary music organisations led by icons of the era, at both Will Smith’s WilJam Entertainment and Sean “Puffy” Combs’ Bad Boy Records. He went on to found Atom Factory, launching artists including Lady Gaga into the stratosphere, and investing in leading startups, including Gimlet (recently acquired by Spotify). He was Spotify’s Global Head of Creator Services until September 2018 and has been a huge contributor to the booming streaming ecosystem. He says of his Midem keynote debut, Midem has become a preeminent platform for the most important discussions in the global music industry. I’m looking forward to discussing the current state of the business as well as the rapidly approaching future.”
