Paris, June 04 2020Midem, the home of the global music community, today announces an exclusive keynote conversation between key figures from Cannes and Atlanta, two leading entertainment hubs, looking towards a brighter future, as part of the final day of the Midem Digital Edition, Friday, June 5.
 
In an exclusive session, key executives from international entertainment hubs, Cannes and Atlanta, will share positive messages of support with the global music, film, TV, tech and gaming communities. The conversation will look ahead, with optimism, to a future beyond Covid-19, touching on exciting new post-crisis opportunities.
 
Both hosts to world-class music conferences, Midem in Cannes, and leading hip-hop gathering, A3C in Atlanta, these two cities reflect the tenacity, resourcefulness and innovation that will be key to building and evolving as we emerge from global lockdown. Crucial to that development will be international collaboration.
 
Midem Director, Alexandre Deniot, says, “I’m delighted that we have initiated this connection to mark the beginning of a partnership between Atlanta and Cannes. This will be the first steps on the road towards an important collaboration between the two cities to be launched at Midem in Cannes, June 2021.”
 
Speaker, Dr. Eloisa Klementich, President and CEO, Invest Atlanta, explains the importance of music to the U.S city, with industry leaders like T.I. and Killer Mike having made public displays of support for Atlanta recently, “They have said some profound words for the city at this difficult time. This music, this creative class is what is going to allow us to link generations together. So that they can communicate… music seems to be this common language.
 
At a time when solidarity and unity amongst the world’s music community has never been more vital, session moderator, Shain Shapiro, CEO, Sound Diplomacy, adds, “Music is our collective unifier. We need music… to ensure we are brought together.”
